About Final Fantasy Resonance now
Final Fantasy Resonance is Square Enix's first HD-2D Final Fantasy, a single-player RPG. Battles are turn-based on an action timeline, with stagger gauges and Resonance attacks; each character equips a Vision, a hero from earlier Final Fantasy games, and Espers can be summoned into the fight.
The story runs over 8 chapters to the final boss. Your party has 8 members, among them Rain, Lasswell and Fina; 4 fight at once, and the ones on the bench still earn EXP and Mastery points. The level cap is 99, and the post-game opens once the story ends.
Besides the story, the game holds its hardest fights and collections: Ultima Weapon, a level 70 superboss in Ardra Crater, 15 Cave Masters, 12 Legendary Arms, 26 Visions, 9 Espers and the four leagues of the Colosseum, Fledgling, Brawler, Gladiator and Champion. The Champion League opens after the Gladiator League and ends with Shinryu at level 95 and Omega at level 99.
Steam lists 40 achievements, and Ultimate Fantasy asks for all the others: the 8 chapters, every party member's substory, a chocobo and the airship, all 26 Visions, 9 Espers, 12 Legendary Arms and 15 Cave Masters, the Fledgling, Brawler and Gladiator leagues, Ultima Weapon, 1,000 staggers and 400 Resonance attacks. None of them can be missed.
