From Diamond up you play Advanced Ranked, where a Card Captain leads the team's Shard Card picks.
Ranked opens at account level 15 (it used to be 30, and many guides still say so), and a new Ranked account plays 5 placement matches before it gets its first rank. Each new season starts you from a rank set by the one you ended with. The Battle Pass runs season by season: its levels come from matches and missions, and premium rewards go to players who own the premium Battle Pass.
