Sea of Thieves curses

Curses change how your pirate looks, and each comes from a different part of the game: Tall Tale commendations for the Gold Curse and the Ashen Curse, a Sunken Kingdom voyage for the Curse of Sunken Sorrow, and faction Allegiance for the Skeleton and Ghost Curses.

Each offer lists what your pirate needs first, such as Pirate Legend for the Ghost Curse or Reaper's Bones level 75 for the Skeleton Curse. We play on your account; for the gold versions the game also takes 1,000,000 gold from your pirate.

Curses: questions

4
Which curse can a new pirate get?

The Gold Curse and the Ashen Curse come from Tall Tales, which every pirate can play. The Skeleton and Ghost Curses need faction Allegiance and other steps first.

What does the Skeleton Curse need?

Servants of the Flame Allegiance 100 and Reaper's Bones level 75.

What does the Ghost Curse need?

Pirate Legend and Guardians of Fortune Allegiance 100.

Who pays the 1,000,000 gold for the gold versions?

The game takes it from your pirate when the reward is claimed. If you are short, add gold from our Gold category.
